Panic! At the Disco– Your much-needed break from Christmas music

Hush... Turn down the Silent Night, Turn up the Panic!

Most of my readers already know my musical tastes are eclectic. In dog terms, that means my taste in music is pretty much limited to whatever my master feels like listening to. Thankfully, I like Dolly Parton, Black Eyed Peas, and Peter, Paul, and Mary. Lately, though, we’ve been listening to a lot of Panic! At the Disco.

Not exactly Christmas music, but Christmas music gets old after about 25 seconds. (Mind you, that’s a lot longer for a dog.) I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of this band, but they are seriously amazing– and very fun. Below are a few of my favorite songs. Let me know what you think!

This first one is titled, “There’s a Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey. You Just Haven’t Thought Of It Yet.” (P!ATD is a bit affectionate of long song titles.)

This next one is equally as fun. It’s a cover of “Skid Row (Downtown)” which is the opening song from Little Shop of Horrors, which P!ATD covered for some unknown reason.

Next is a video from one of their live shows. The song is called “I Constantly Thank God for Esteban.” Many of the pop bands today totally fall apart when trying to sing live. They have no stamina, and their pizzazz hardly makes up for their lack of talent. P!ATD cannot be criticized for lack of talent or stamina. I like this live video because it shows how difficult their music is and how well their talent holds up during a show.

Hope you enjoyed the videos. Let me know what you think of this band!

(Sunny, Merry Christmas! This post is for you.)
