rainminiscing

one of the many stops on my roadtrip

Did you ever have one of those once-in-a-lifetime experiences that turned out to be the best time of your life? Last summer, I took a 14,000 mile road trip, and I can’t help but think about it now because it was almost one year ago that my master and I left…

…although it wasn’t this rainy on our trip, the persistent slow rain over the past few days reminds me of places like the Hoh National Rainforest on the Olympic Penninsula, or Silver Gate, Montana, at dawn. If you’ve ever been camping with me, then you know I thoroughly enjoy the experience– rain or no rain.

When I think about this summer, I can’t help but think, “What a difference from last summer!” I have no clue what a rainy day is like for you, but as I sit here in my wingback chair under my tarpaulin in the kennel, I’m just going to take the time today to rainminisce about some of the sunnier days I’ve had. It’s going to be a nice way to spend a rainy day.
